FCA/Fiat (Fiat Chrysler Automobile / Stellantis) sought a solution to improve communication between maintenance personnel across multiple facilities, aiming to reduce the need for travel and facilitate local support when equipment issues arise. To address this challenge, we implemented an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) Wearables solution using Smartglasses, designed to streamline remote troubleshooting and enhance operational efficiency.
Our solution enables maintenance technicians to connect with senior-level experts remotely in real-time. Through First-Person View (FPV) and live video transmission, the remote assistant gains a clear, real-time perspective of the technician’s environment, helping them diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. The hands-free functionality of the Smartglasses allows technicians to continue working without interruption while receiving instant guidance and support from experienced specialists. This seamless communication bridge significantly reduces downtime, cuts travel costs, and boosts productivity across facilities.
